Privacy Policy

This application collects data strictly necessary for the functioning of the game (e.g., nicknames, answers and scores). No sensitive data is collected.

Data processed

• Nicknames and session identifiers
• Answers, scores and timings
• Technical usage data (logs, aggregated analytics)

Purpose

Data is used exclusively to provide the real-time quiz experience and to improve its quality.

Retention

Session data may be retained for statistical purposes and to allow restoring games.

Third parties

We use external services (e.g., Supabase, Vercel Analytics) for hosting and aggregated analysis.

Authentication

To create an account we collect your email and generate an internal user ID (UUID). If you choose Google OAuth we receive the minimal profile claims (verified email, provider ID) used only to let you sign in.

Security

Access tokens are handled by Supabase client libraries and stored locally in the browser (localStorage) for session continuity. We use basic rate limiting and server logs to prevent abuse.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your account by writing to: quiz8app@gmail.com. We will process the request in a reasonable timeframe.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion removes the account and hosted session data (sessions, questions, participants, answers, metadata) except minimal security logs retained temporarily.

Local storage items

We use localStorage for strictly functional data such as your chosen nickname, device identifier for duplicate prevention, auth tokens (Supabase) and language preference.

• player_nick – remembers last nickname used.
• player_device_id – deduplicates joins from the same device.
• locale – remembers language preference.
• supabase auth keys – managed by Supabase to keep you signed in.
