Trivial Pursuit Infinite Alternative

Trivial Pursuit Online, Free.
What To Play Now That Infinite Is Gone.

The part people miss most is the AI writing fresh questions on literally any topic. Quiz8 does exactly that — and then adds the thing Infinite never had: everyone playing the same round at the same time.

What happened to Trivial Pursuit Infinite?

Trivial Pursuit Infinite launched in January 2024 as a browser game on trivialpursuit.com. It paired a daily trivia challenge with an "infinite" mode where an AI wrote questions about any subject you asked for — a genuinely new idea for a forty-year-old board game brand.

It is no longer online. The site stopped serving the game around the end of 2025: www.trivialpursuit.com now resolves to Hasbro's redirect infrastructure, and the last working capture in the Internet Archive is from October 2025. There was no replacement, which is why people who played it daily are still looking for one.

Quiz8 is not affiliated with Hasbro and is not a copy of Trivial Pursuit. It is an independent quiz platform built on the same idea that made Infinite worth playing: let an AI write the questions, so the game never runs out of material.

What You Get Instead

The AI question engine you came for, wrapped in a live multiplayer game

Any Topic, Written On Demand

Type "1990s one-hit wonders", "Roman aqueducts", or your friend group's inside jokes. The AI writes a fresh set every time, so the same topic never plays out identically twice.

Everyone Plays Together

The part Infinite was missing. One host, one code, and the whole room answers the same question at the same moment.

Ready in About 30 Seconds

Pick topics, share the code. No account to create before you can host, no setup wizard, no download.

Live Scores and Speed Bonuses

The leaderboard updates after every question, and answering fast is worth more than answering late. It turns a quiet quiz into a race.

Runs In The Browser

Hosts on a laptop or TV, players on their phones. Nothing to install on either side.

Free Where It Counts

Hosting is free for up to 42 players, 20 questions and 10 topics a match. Pro adds ad-free play and event and history tools.

Where People Use It

Infinite was a solo habit. Quiz8 works solo too — but it comes alive with a group

Live Streams

Run a round with your chat — they join from their phones

Trivia Nights

The pub quiz format, with questions nobody has seen before

Team Building

Ice-breakers on topics your team actually cares about

Classroom

Instant review quizzes on whatever you just taught

Family Games

One topic per person, so everyone gets a category they can win

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Trivial Pursuit Infinite really shut down?

Yes. The game ran at trivialpursuit.com from January 2024 until around the end of 2025. That address no longer serves the game — it now points at Hasbro's redirect infrastructure — and the most recent working copy in the Internet Archive dates from October 2025.

Is Quiz8 made by Hasbro?

No. Quiz8 is an independent quiz platform with no connection to Hasbro or the Trivial Pursuit brand. It is named here only because it solves the same problem: AI-written trivia questions on any topic you ask for.

Does Quiz8 have the six classic categories?

Not as a fixed wheel. You choose the topics yourself, so you can recreate the classic six — geography, entertainment, history, arts, science, sport — or invent categories the board game never had.

How many people can play?

Up to 42 players in every match, free or Pro. Pro removes ads and adds event and history tools. Players never pay or need an account.

Do I need to sign up?

Players do not — they enter a code and a nickname. Creating an account only matters if you want to keep your stats and appear on the global leaderboard.

Is there a daily challenge like Infinite had?

Not in the same one-puzzle-a-day format. Quiz8 is built around live rounds you start whenever you want, which most people run as their daily habit instead.
